Black River Park Trail

~ Lakes Galore

Black River Park’s trail is level and suitable for walking for all ages. The trail is a half mile in length from the kiosk to the end, and is a small loop; one mile total. Most of the trail is along the Black River, and has some dips and roots to cross. Things to look for: a beautiful line of cedar trees, which shaded horses in their past, and two bridges to cross a stream. There’s a small hill, which used to be a ski hill. A pair of swans is often seen in Black River Pond, as well as large turtles. Beavers attempt to dam the river from time to time. The far end of the trail connects with trails leading to Mine Hill and Randolph.
