~ Remnants of the Morris Canal Towpath
An enjoyable quarter-mile level walk, great for kids and adults alike. A short section of the canal and towpath has been preserved, and the park contains two interpretive signs with the history of the site and the adjacent Lock 1 East of the canal.
The Canal Society of New Jersey has a downloadable three-page walking guide to the Canal Park, Drakesville and Riggs Park area available on its website at canalsocietynj.org. Maps and brochures for other Greenway locations are also available and new material is being added all the time, so be sure to check back.
