Together, Ledgewood Park and Morris Canal Park are comprised of over 250 acres of forest, offering a pond and hiking trails. There are two trails in the park, the gold and blue trails, which partially overlap one another. These trails have wet areas to cross, which are more challenging during the spring season.
The gold trail, which is 1.35 miles, has challenging, narrow, and rocky areas. The top offers a scenic northern view. There are large rock outcroppings along the trail.
The blue trail is .9 miles long, and is largely a a wide, unpaved easement road, making it a great trail for children. There are elevation changes and rocky areas along the trail, plus some wet areas to cross.
Remnants of the Morris Canal are currently being restored.
