Fri., April 11th – Twilight Hike at Black River Park
Hike begins at 5:30pm at Black River Park. The level trails follows the start of the Black River, and joins hilly trails in Randolph and Mine Hill. Two hike options! First is a mostly level hike approximately one hour long, and suitable for children. Second option is to extend hike in Mine Hill on hilly, rocky terrain, for a two-hour hike. Both hikes offer great views of Mine Hill Lake. Driveway for parking is available at 1 Main Street, Succasunna.
Sat., April 26th-Black River Pond Water Clean-Up Event
Roxbury’s Environmental Commission, along with the Trails Committee, are cleaning up Black River Pond both around the edges and on the water. Join us for a fun morning! Event takes place 9am-12pm at Black River Park, 1 Main Street, Succasunna. BYOK/C (Bring your own kayak/canoe 🙂 More info coming soon.
Sat, May 31st – Ribbon Cutting and Hike at Ice Age Trail, Landing
Our National Trails Day event includes a hike at our newest trail, located at 10 Orben Drive, Landing. Join us at 10am for a 1.5 mile hike with some challenges, walking up and down hillside. Beautiful views from the ridge line, overlooking Mt. Arlington and Landing.
*Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, such as sneakers or hiking boots, and bring a bottle of water.
